Lee Brenner

Lee Brenner is Head of Public Policy,
Digital Assets, within the Office of
Government Affairs at Goldman Sachs.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Lee was Meta’s
(i.e. Facebook) first public policy subject matter
expert focused on blockchain &
cryptocurrencies, helping to lead the company’s
policy, regulatory & external engagement
efforts globally on its digital assets and financial
services projects, including Diem (Libra) and
Novi.


Previously, Lee was Chief Strategy Officer at
the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC),
a global trade association for
the blockchain technology ecosystem.
Prior to the GBBC, Lee was the Market
Development Lead on Microsoft’s Technology &
Civic Engagement team.
Earlier, Lee co-founded HyperVocal, a digital
media & events start-up. During his time at
HyperVocal, Lee co-hosted “Politics Powered by

Twitter,” a daily “policy meets technology”
program on SiriusXM.
During the early days of social media, Lee was
the public policy lead at MySpace and was an
Executive Producer of the groundbreaking
2007-2008 MySpace-MTV Presidential
Dialogues.
Lee held the position of Senior Editorial
Producer at CNN before leaving to join
MySpace.
Lee earned his Masters in International & Public
Affairs at the University of Hong Kong and did
his undergraduate work at Tufts University. He
lives in Washington, DC, with his wife and twin
children.
